چکیده
Introduction: Supracondylar fracture humerus is one of the commonest fractures suffered in children accounting 50 to 70% around elbow children. Complications malunion or growth deformities into cubitus varus valgus necessitates accurate reduction and union along with maintaining normal range motion. Closed splintage plasters fail achieve these goals often, so percutaneous pinning k wires from lateral condyle assumed help managing cases without aforesaid complications. Aim: To assess functional outcome, complications if any associated using K supracondylar Materials Methods: In prospective study design, total 30 treated at tertiary care teaching hospital southern Rajasthan between January 2020 October were included. The as well radiological assessment observation was done regular follow up till union. Results: All achieved solid 4 6 weeks duration. outcome satisfactory 90% (including excellent good results) Flynn’s Criteria 1 patient having fair motion carrying angle while 2 patients had poor developed. Conclusion: We concluded that preservation optimal function after satisfactorily fixing a short learning curve minimal malunion, deformity, loss which are more conservative management no risk ulnar nerve damage seen cross wire fixation.

Treatment of Displaced Supracondylar Fracture of Humerus in Children by Lateral Entry Pinning versus Cross Pinning
Introduction: Displaced supracondylar fractures of humerus are one of the most common fractures in pediatric age group with preferred treatment being close reduction with percutaneous K-wire fi xation. This study compares whether lateral pin construct alone can provide same stability like cross (medial and lateral) pin fi xation, and prevent iatrogenic ulnar nerve injury. Materials and Methods:...
متن کاملPercutaneous pinning in displaced supracondylar fracture of humerus in children.
BACKGROUND Supracondylar fracture of humerus is the most common fracture in first decade of life. There are various treatment modalities for this fracture i.e closed reduction and casting, open reduction and internal fixation and percutaneous pinning. Study was conducted to know the outcome of Percutaneous Pinning in the management of displaced supracondylar fracture of humerus in children. M...

Objectives: To know the effectiveness and safety of percutaneous pinning in displaced supracondylar fracture of the humerus in children. Material and Methods: This case series study was conducted from January 2007 to July 2009 in the Orthopaedic Unit of Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar. Results: Of the 50 patients, there were 33(66%) males and 17(34%) females. The left side 38(76%) was the m...

Seventy-eight supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children were reviewed to compare four kinds of treatment: closed reduction and immobilization in a cast or splint, overhead skeletal traction, side-arm skeletal traction, and Dunlop's skin traction. The skeletal traction device usually used was a winged screw of our own design. The arms treated in overhead traction had significantly less ...
